Kvaerner is Europe’s leading provider of steel jacket substructures for offshore oil and gas platforms. We have executed 46 steel substructure contracts in 45 years.

Our specialised facility at Verdal in mid Norway, is highly skilled in delivering cost-effective project execution combined with high quality. The Verdal yard plays the lead role in all of Kvaerner’s jacket projects.

Kvaerner’s capabilities span from conceptual and feasibility studies, front-end engineering and design (FEED), detailed engineering, procurement, project management, through construction to final delivery of complete steel jacket substructures.

Based on decades of experience in executing projects, Kvaerner offers a wide range of fit-for-purpose solutions – from light and innovative structures, to jackets designed for crane lift or launched installation.

Kvaerner’s project execution model for jackets is fully integrated with our in-house design office, which operates in close cooperation with the supply chain, including steel manufacturing, rolling of tubulars and provision of cast nodes. Our experienced project management, engineers and workforce ensure safe performance and predictable delivery, on time, on budget and at the right quality.
